ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Head of Finance is a member of the Central Trust Team working closely with the Executive Headteacher/CEO and with overall responsibility for a small multi-site team.
The incumbent will be expected to work with the Trust Central Team and provide sound financial advice to the Executive Headteacher, Chair of the Trust and Trust Board Directors, other officers of the Trust, Headteachers and other Senior Management colleagues.
This is a key role in the long-term strategic development and planning of our Multi Academy Trust. Working with the Central Trust Team and Trust
Board Directors you will develop the financial and strategic objectives and policies of the MAT. This will require a clear understanding of education requirements and how the activities of Finance and staff under his/her leadership, will support these. Thus ensuring that the resources of the academies are deployed effectively and efficiently to achieve the educational aims of the academies.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The Head of Finance will be responsible for maintaining and developing an effective financial management service to the Trust and its academies. This will include producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cost and benefit analysis. They will support the finance team to further develop and implement systems to produce the management information and utilise finance software to its full capability. This is an exciting time for the Trust with the Head of Finance tasked to review and support the Trust's implementation of strategic growth plans. Candidates will also be expected to develop MAT partnerships and fundraising opportunities that support these strategic objectives. All applicants must have a genuine interest in the experience and outcomes of our students and be solution and systems oriented. They
must also demonstrate a commitment to our Trust values and to "Be the best you can be!"
