My client is a pharmaceutical company based in the North West. They are seeking a senior process engineer on a freelance basis on a 12 months contract.
Rate - GBP60 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
?? Accountable for monitoring and improvement of manufacturing capability for defined products / processes
?? Work proactively to increase understanding of critical process parameters (including understanding of interactions of product, equipment, process parameters, people and materials). Use this knowledge as input into projects to increase process capability, and to ensure suitable process controls are defined and put in place
?? Develop appropriate business cases, technical documentation and project plans to support process changes, and manage implementation of approved projects to agree timeline
?? Support effective root cause analysis and elimination of deviations and manufacturing issues
?? Ensure that people, process and equipment safety is considered in all root cause analysis, process improvements and technical changes, through the use of rigorous risk assessment
?? Ensure that all process change activities are carried out in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice, including ensuring impacts of all process changes is assessed and managed prior to implementation, and that necessary protocols are developed and executed to support justification of process change
?? Work with others as appropriate to create, capture, organise and store process knowledge, in a manner that supports effective and efficient retrieval and re-use
SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED:
?? Minimum 8 years process experience within Pharmaceuticals?? Experienced in a Manufacturing environment
?? Able to write and present clear, concise documents to high technical standard
?? Able to demonstrate good communication and influencing skills, appropriate to all organisational levels
?? Able to view issues from the customer perspective
?? IT literate
Desirable
?? Lean/Six sigma qualified to Green Belt standard
?? Able to coach and train individuals and teams in improvement techniques and tool ?? Chemical, pharmaceutical or Industrial Engineering background or qualification Demonstrable experience in small team improvement / coaching
