Our client are a large corporate organisation based in Basingstoke that are now looking for a Project manager to join them working on various international large scale projects.
To take responsibility for projects launch to project closure to deliver to time, cost quality and scope ensuring contractual requirements are met.
Lead cross functional teams from various departments, including external contractors and suppliers in a range of locations globally as a single cohesive team in order to deliver the project adhering to the project management methodology.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain relationships with customers, clarifying technical aspects and identifying any opportunities for up sale of products
*Liaise with customers and work package managers to provide strong day to day management of the operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects
*Manage projects so that they run on time, to scope, on budget and to the required quality ensuring customer acceptance and delivery of all contractual requirements
*Manage the dependencies and interfaces between projects
*Manage and forecast the resource allocation for the project including approval of relevant time sheet process to show effort is included in project accounting
*Identify, assess and manage project issues and risks and create mitigation plans as required
*Provide the sales and commercial teams with support and project management expertise in building bids and proposals with customers.
*Comply with all compliance and business operating processes and regularly report project progress as required.
*Provide additional support to the Programme Manager/PMO as required
*Ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up to date record of all training and development activities/programs
Skills & Experience required
*Qualified Project Manager: Prince 2 qualification or equivalent
*Good Microsoft office skills, word, excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
*Ideally previous experience of delivering system implementations globally
*Have the experience to establish strong customer relations
*Language skills an advantage (especially French, Spanish or Russian)
*Excellent interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, commercial, sales, software development and manufacturing)
*Articulate and personable
*Ability to meet deadlines by being flexible, adaptable and using excellent planning and prioritisation skills
*Able to change direction with ease to overcome and to adapt to changing priorities and pre-empting and solving problems. Good understanding of budgetary control and resource allocation procedures
*Management of integration and reporting of project and financial data
*Ability to work independently
*Cultural awareness and requirement to travel anywhere in the world
