My Client based in Northampton is looking fo a Quality Auditor to join their existing team.

FUNCTION: Audit site, factory production, processes and paperwork to ensure that standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping are performed effectively ensuring continued product safety and quality.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Perform checks and audits in the factory and across site, highlighting and dealing with / reporting non-conformance's raised. Including, the following:-
Process Control
• Daily coding and labelling audit, including checks in goods-in, factory and packaging for correct
labelling, date coding and print quality etc.
• Daily goods-in, warehouse and yard audit.
• Daily site temperature check audit.
• Daily low care / high care production, product and paperwork audit.
• Daily CCP paperwork audit.
• Ensure that all required factory checks are carried out satisfactorily i.e. washouts and weight checks etc.
• Ensure all necessary factory paperwork is completed fully, accurately and promptly.
• Ensure the factory specification manual is being followed at all times.
• Monitor product quality and ensure all products are correctly assembled.
• Liaise closely with Team Leaders, and Process Manager to ensure products are within factory
specifications.
• Report and record all findings and any non-conformance's daily.
• If it is not possible to deal with a non-conformance, these must be reported to the Process Manager or General Manager for action.
• Co-ordinate the calibration schedule, working with the General Manager, to ensure that all temperature probes and balances are calibrated at the appropriate frequency, all scales are checked daily and the requirements of the calibration policy are fulfilled.

Housekeeping and Hygiene

• Daily hygiene and housekeeping audit.
• Weekly monitoring (via titration) of factory cleaning chemical concentrations.
• Daily site cleaning schedule audit. Ensure cleaning schedules are signed off and fabric and equipment is cleaned at the required frequency.
In conjunction with General Manager:-
• Schedule and manage the microbiological sampling plan.
• Carry out swabbing and arrange / collect samples for testing and delivery to the lab.
• Perform Micro and hygiene out of spec/trend analysis and report as appropriate.

Training
• Assist with training of factory operatives in correct policies and procedures as required.
• Feedback on training deficiencies.

Traceability
• Perform periodic traceability audits as required by the General Manager.
• Make recommendations for updating relevant paperwork / procedures as required.

Communication
• Follow up on any actions or non-conformance's using direct face-to-face contact.
• Attend morning taste panel to verify quality of finished products and advise as required.
• Attend daily operations meeting and raise relevant issues or advise as required.
• Produce reports for audited areas as required.
• Ensure all QA reports are filed in an organised manner to enable easy retrieval when required for audit purposes.
• Liaise with the General Manager to ensure that audits are scheduled and completed as required.
• Liaise and assist with customers / auditors / external bodies as required.

Other
• Perform factory process improvement trials and new product production trials.
• Cover for Line Leaders and Team Leaders in their absence, if appropriate, to ensure all checks are completed.
