Business Development Manager
Location: Berkshire
Salary: GBP55k basic + Commission + Benefits Package
Our market leading client is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their ever expanding team.
This role is the foundation of the international sales organization within the company. With the overall goal to detect new opportunities in the High Volume Scanning and Multi-Channel Capture spaces. You will need to identify, develop and close end-user opportunities, and will be responsible for increasing the Solutions business in your territory.
Responsibilities:
*Prospect for new clients and turn it into increased business
*Meet potential customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network
*Present, pitch and promote the companies solutions offering
*Coordinate companies resources (pre-sales consultants, professional services consultants, EMEA subject matter experts,???) to develop proposals relevant to the end users' needs and to close opportunities
*Work closely together with Marketing to increase demand generation
*Ensure customer will serve as a reference and supports publication of a success story
*Network with ISVs, opinion leaders, consultants, to identify trends and promote companies solutions
*Send in reports, forecasts, information, etc. according to the required dates / deadlines
The ideal candidate will have;
*5-10 years business development/sales experience within the IT industry
*Strong hunter and prospecting skills
*Knowledge of Document Capture solutions is an asset but not a must
*Strong communication, negotiation and sales skills
*High level of commitment and focus on execution - performance oriented
*Flexible, ability to adapt to a medium size company that requires at the same time team working, multi-tasking and organisational skills, and great initiative and autonomy
