We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior/Principal Ecologist to join a high profile ecological consultancy in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This position offers a competitive salary from GBP30000 to GBP35000.
The successful candidate can expect a high degree of autonomy in managing projects from inception to completion, including client liaison, setting and managing budgets, managing teams of surveyors and partaking in fieldwork directly and obtaining relevant protected species licences.
Person Specification:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Relevant degree and at least five years' post graduate experience in consultancy
* The ability to work with external consultants in multidisciplinary teams
* Commercial awareness
* Full CIEEM membership
* Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
* A working knowledge of relevant wildlife/environmental legislation and policy
* Excellent project delivery and project management skills
