Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Service team to deliver Offshore/Onshore Wind Projects in the UK. The Project Engineer will directly lead implementation of new projects, according to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements, with end to end responsibility for economic results, quality, schedule and EHS. The role demands both adherence to key Project KPI's and a strong customer focus to ensure repeatable project success. You must have previous experience gained from a project management role where you have delivered performance excellence and customer focus and be able to demonstrate process discipline and sound commercial experience. What are my responsibilities?

As Project Engineer you are responsible and accountable for project implementation and adherence to strategies, policies, processes and methods (technically and commercially) for assigned wind farm projects including:

- Drive the standards, expectations, guidelines and culture to achieve an incident and injury free project execution in alignment with Siemens Zero harm policy
- Execute project strategy in accordance with project management standards through stakeholder engagement within Sales process, previous lessons learned, operational efficiencies and in alignment with Business Objectives and customer expectations
- Direct responsibility of the Project Life Cycle from concept to final acceptance to ensure project schedule and key targets are met
- Management of customer relationship through effective communication plan and escalation process to ensure project requirements and expectations are met
- Regular reporting / updates to Project Manager/Senior Project Manager & senior management advising of project progress to plan, KPI's. Advise of areas requiring escalation, decision for resolution & non conformance
- Direct responsibility for project financial performance to optimize gross profit, cash flow and project related assets.
- Train, coach and develop operational delivery team through transition and handover to regular operations. Support Sales team with technical / operational knowledge through bid process
- Support, mentoring and development of project team members embracing Siemens company values and ethics
- Effective management of risk, opportunities, contract and claims through risk mitigation measures
- Adherence / compliance to applicable standards, rules and regulations (local and international)
- Leadership, mentoring and development of operational team members embracing Siemens company values and ethics

What do I need to qualify for this role?

- Ideally the candidate should be degree educated
- Previous Project Management experience dealing with commercial and operational activities ideally within an offshore Service environment.
- Experience managing and developingCustomer relationships.
- Product technical knowledge would be advantageous.
- Ability to Travel to various locations to support Projects in the UK
