About the role:
We are seeking an exceptional Lecturer in GCSE Mathematics and Functional Skills to teach on a range of programmes in Mathematics, including the delivery of GCSE at Higher Tier and Functional skills to 16-19 age learners on a range of vocational programmes and adults as standalone subjects. You will incorporate interventions to establish outstanding success on GCSE and Functional skills that enables learners to progress and will work as part of a vocational team with the embedding of Mathematics.
About you:
With degree in the relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification, a teaching qualification (PGCE) is essential. You will have been graded a good or outstanding teacher on 3 consecutive occasions and will have a subject specialism at Level 5. You will have proven success in the teaching of GCSE Mathematics within an FE setting and possess excellent communication skills.
As of 1st of August 2016, City & Islington and Westminster Kingsway Colleges have merged to create the first College Group in London. This exciting development will help secure City and Islington's future at the forefront on skills training in London and widen opportunities for both its staff and students.
