Back-End Developer
A specialist agency in West Somerset are seeking a talented Back-End Developer to join their successful team.
The Role
Working on multiple new or existing client websites, the role will incorporate a real mix of duties, including full-site builds, integrations and custom development projects. While this is predominantly a Back-End Developer role, there may also be some Front-End tasks from time-to-time.
The role will sit within a collaborative team of developers, designers and account managers, and so there'll be technical discussions around projects to participate in. There will be some client-facing aspects to the role too, liaising with and directing clients on any queries or issues they may have.
The Candidate
To be considered for this position, candidates must be able to showcase a strong portfolio of work from within a similar role.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in PHP, MySQL, Javascript (inc. JQuery), HTML5, CSS3 (including SASS via Grunt). Experience working with MVC frameworks and knowledge of Linux command line (Centos/Redhat) is also key.
A grasp of SEO best practices and Google Analytics is also required, along with confidence in using the Adobe Creative Suite package. Good communication skills are also essential.
The Package
There's a basic salary offering of up to ??35k, based on experience, and the opportunity to work in a fresh and forward-thinking agency. The company pride themselves in promoting an environment where you will always be learning new techniques and skills.
