We provide innovative and responsive housing, care and support services that promote choice and independence for people with a variety of needs including people with learning disabilities, autism, older people, young people and people with mental health support needs across North and East London.

For 40 years, the organization has been providing high-quality support and care services to vulnerable people in London. Set up by parents of disabled children looking for alternatives to institutional care provision, Our aim is to support customers to have genuine control over their lives, play an active role in the community, accept responsibilities and develop as individuals. Supporting the people we are supporting to make positive choices and take advantage of good opportunities.

We require Support Workers with a minimum of 1 year's experience (male or female) for 131-133 Buxton Street, which is a supported living service for 5 adults who have learning disabilities, mental health problems and challenging behaviour. Additionally, one customer has a physical disability and uses a wheelchair outside of the home environment (you will need to be physically able to push this customer in their wheelchair when required.

We are also recruiting for Support Workers to work across two supported living projects, one based in Tower Hamlets and the other in Hackney. The Hackney projects supports two females and Four male customers that live semi-independently in their own flats and have mild to moderate Learning Disabilities alongside mental health issues. We currently have a small team of staff, which are looking to expand. Our second larger project based in Tower Hamlets consists of 8 cottages, housing 7 customers also with mild to Moderate Learning disabilities, living in their own self-contained flats with staff on site. Our customers require enthusiastic and creative staff who are keen and motivated to empower our customers to lead independent lives via socialising, creative therapy, managing a household, relationships and employment/ volunteering. We are keen to develop evening activities for customers in both schemes to engage customers in additional community activities.

We require enthusiastic Support Workers to work on their own initiative and who are creative. We currently offer long term housing with 24 hour staff support .

You will have knowledge to comply with CQC and Supporting People standards to provide appropriate and well-structured daily routine for Adults with various support needs. Empowering service users to participate in the decision making around all aspects of home, life, and control over how they wish to leave their lives.

Encouraging Customers to develop and maintain as much independence as they are able in order to enable to moving on.

We will treat Customers as an individual, by providing you with a service according to your own individual needs. We will do this by helping service users develop their own Person Centred plans and Health Action Plans

You will respond to individual needs by providing a needs-led service based on individual care plans and assessment within an equal opportunities framework

You will support customers to maximise their potential for independence to live a full and active life.

Customers are supported with personal care, planned activities such as attending the bank , paying rent, attending the cinema and accessing the community.

Customers are encouraged to develop and maintain skills to promote independence.
