Search Engine Optimisation Manager (SEO) London

As a Barclays Search Engine Optimisation Manager, your role is to support the search engine optimisation of Barclays UK to achieve digital commercial engagement with our customers. You will lead on paid acquisition channels such as paid search, display and affiliates and aggregators for all UK retail products, working closely with our digital channels and content creation teams to deliver on-site change and support acquisition campaigns.


About us:

Working from our Head Office in office in Canary Wharf, London you will work closely with our Search Engine Optimisation and media agencies in order to provide both business as usual and campaign-level support and consultancy services to Barclays UK.

As a Search Engine Optimisation Manager (SEO) your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Implementing the search strategy for Barclays UK to support the wider digital and business acquisition and engagement objectives.
  • Developing tools and techniques to monitor accessibility, and search engine optimisation of content, including support marketing campaign managers across paid search, display and affiliate acquisition campaigns.
  • Driving industry excellence by keeping up-to-date with industry changes and advancements that inform technical guidelines.

As a Search Engine Optimisation Manager (SEO), your skills and qualifications will include:

  • Strong Search Engine Optimisation experience and skills gained either client or agency-side where you have working knowledge of html, CSS and javascript and an understanding of site migrations.
  • Experience of content management systems and knowledge of content principles.
  • Experience in managing paid media campaigns (paid search, display and affiliate marketing).
  • The ability to review webpages from a technical, marketing and customer perspective to ensure they are optimised for both users and commercial priorities.
