We have a vacancy for a European Finance Assistant - Full Time Temporary role.
Term of office – 3 months (with possible extension to 6 months)
Job & Person Specification:
• Up to two years of work experience in a Finance Division with high volume transactions.
• Purchase Ledger (multiple European entities)
- Invoice coding
- Sending invoices to be authorised by operational heads
- Post Invoices and credit notes
- Allocations of supplier payments against invoices
- Supplier account reconciliations
- Discuss with operational and commercial team as well as suppliers regarding outstanding payments and any invoice queries
• Sales Ledger (multiple European entities)
- Posting sales invoices
- Allocate payments received to invoices
• Bank (multiple European entities)
- Expense payments for staff
- Prepare fortnightly payment runs and inform payment details to suppliers and other account managers with remittance details
• Weekly tasks
- Supply information flow to European accountancy contact team based in Europe.
• Other skills
- Familiar with emails, word and excel.
- Scanning, photocopying and other general office functions.
- Willing to take large volume of work and be prepared to work putting the hours in.
- Regular to work and completes tasks in a regular and timely manner.
- Team spirit and willing to learn, assist others in the department if necessary and take additional responsibility
- Experience in Sage line 200 would be an advantage but not essential
- Fast learner
Salary: Competitive
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm with a 1 hour lunch break
