The Role of IT Project Manager
The IT Project Manager role is an excellent opportunity to be part of this new hotel opening in Bath, summer 2017. As a key member of the opening team, the successful candidate will be integral to the setup of key systems, including the roll-out of emerging technologies that will improve the way in which Apex Hotels operate and enhance the guest experience.

Primarily based in Bath, as an experienced Project Manager you will be initially responsible for the new hotel opening, with progression of the role into delivering multiple IT projects across the Apex Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning of technology projects, assessment of opportunities, management of IT project teams and 3rd party vendors, as well as on-going business support.

Key responsibilities will include developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility, including project change control and risk management.

The Person
To be successful for the role of IT Project Manager, experience of project lifecycle is essential, including initial ideas and proposals, production of plans and documentation, through to handover, improvements and ongoing support.

•    You will be able to demonstrate you are process and procedures orientated to ensure budget controls and deadlines are met by tracking progress
•    You must have a passion for building client relationships and working with emerging technologies
•    Evidence of both consultancy skills and delivery expertise for complex technology projects
•    You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure communication is maintained by all stakeholders involved in each project.
•    You will have the ability to effectively communicate complex technology issues to non-technical stakeholders
•    Experience of overseeing and coordinating 3rd party suppliers
•    Experience of managing PCI compliance in an IT environment
•    Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in systems deployment in the hotel industry is a distinct advantage
•    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office in an O365 environment
•    IT related degree, with additional certification, for example, PMP/Prince2, ITIL
