Creative Artworker / Graphic Designer

This is an opportunity to join an established yet rapidly expanding retailer and manufacturer of Print. A Virgin Fast Track 100 company, they operate through many Brands, targeting all sectors of the market from small & micro businesses to the largest FTSE 100 Companies.

To support their growing team they are seeking three Creative Artworkers / Graphic Designers to help design and build editable online artwork templates that their customers will love. These templates will include Business Cards, Invitations and Flyers. These positions are offered as an initial three month fixed term contract commencing in January 2017. For the right candidate there is potential to extend this three month contract to a permanent position.

You will be based in their modern offices just 10 minutes from junction 36 of the M1, on the Manvers Industrial Estate. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm with parking available on site.

The Role

You will be supporting the Brand by designing editable artwork templates that will be uploaded to their brands website for their customers to edit and create their own bespoke, beautifully printed products. The templates that you design will need to be consistent with the brand. As well as designing you will be responsible for maintaining and updating these digital templates and assets.

Requirements for the role

The Candidate

- You will have a Design qualification at HND level as a minimum. You may have completed your course within the past 1-2 years or are currently working in a freelance design role or fixed term contract.
- You will have experience of using Adobe Creative Suite Package and are PC proficient. You will have proven experience in web and print design best practices.
- You will be a positive and proactive person who works well independently. You will be confident in presenting and communicating your ideas to the wider team.
- You will have experience of delivery projects on time and on brief.
- It would be beneficial but not essential for you to have experience in Wireframing and web metrics (Google Analytics).

Skills and Abilities

Essential Requirements;

- Design qualification to HND level as a minimum
- Proficient with tools and applications such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Proven experience in web and print design best practices
- PC proficient
- Ability to work independently
- The ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines, whilst still working with precision and a high level of attention to detail
- A confident communicator
- Available to start in January/February 2017
