The University Finance team is committed to delivering a high quality service supporting the University in achieving its strategic goals to be financially sustainable and responsible. We are looking for an exceptional CCAB qualified and experienced candidate with excellent communication skills who shares our aspirations and wants to make a real difference in this outward facing role. The University is currently going through an exciting period of growth and new initiatives with plans for a new Business School, sports facilities and additional residences at the Oxstalls Campus and the development of a new student village and additional staff offices at Pittville.

The Financial Performance Manager will lead and develop the Management Accounts team who has responsibility for providing a business partnering service across the University. In particular, you will ensure that robust financial plans are prepared, budget monitoring and control is efficient and effective, business cases for strategic developments are prepared and evaluated, and sound financial advice is provided to colleagues across the University.

With significant experience in a relevant finance role, strong IT skills and CCAB qualified, the successful applicant will be experienced in leading and developing a team and have proven ability to interpret, present and communicate complex financial information to stakeholders in a clear and enthusiastic manner. You will have a track record in managing change and continuous improvement, with the ability to build trust and credibility with strong interpersonal skills.
