Our client is a leading provider in Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and B&NES, providing support, care and psychological services to people with mental health, learning disabilities and other related support needs.

Wellness Advisor (North Somerset) - Fixed Term I Year

Full-time 37hrs per week Salary£20,369 - £22,265 per annum

The PositiveStep primary mental health care service in North Somerset is part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (IAPT). The service aims to promote well-being and self -management skills to people with common mental health problems.

The role is based in North Somerset and is responsible for the delivery and evaluation of psycho-educational courses in locations across North Somerset, and provide a range of brief, evidence- based low-intensity psychological treatments and minimally guided self-help.

You should have significant experience working with people with mental health needs, specifically anxiety and depression. We also value life experience of coping with mental health difficulties. You will be able to carry out behavioural and cognitive based interventions, keep clear and concise records of interventions, and should have an understanding of the knowledge and evidence base underpinning clinical practice e.g. Cognitive and Behavioural based interventions, Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT), and stepped care.

The role will involve some evening and weekend working, plus significant travel around North Somerset, so access to transport is essential.
