Bank Wellness Advisors - Positive Step North Somerset

Various hours/days - Rate per hour £11.64

This is an opportunity to help deliver our primary care Psychological Therapies service in North Somerset. Our client is delivered in partnership with themselves and Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) and is part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (IAPT). They aim to promote well-being and self- management skills to people with common mental health problems.

Wellness Advisors are responsible for the delivery and evaluation of psycho-educational courses and provide a range of time limited, evidence-based interventions using the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). You will be joining a bank pool of relief staff to provide ad hoc cover as required across the North Somerset area.

You will have an understanding of CBT principles and a minimum of two years' significant experience working with people with mental health needs, specifically anxiety and depression. They also value life experience of coping with mental health difficulties. You will be able to demonstrate that you have knowledge, understanding and experience of carrying out cognitive and behavioural interventions, the ability to keep clear concise records and have an understanding of the stepped care model, evidence based practice and IAPT Nice Guidelines for the treatment of Anxiety & Depression.

This post will involve some evening working and travel across North Somerset, so access to transport is essential.
