Location Base: Eastcotts Children’s Centre, MK42 0GG + Multi-Site travel within Bedford

Hours: Part – Time, (22.5 hours per week) 

Salary: £13,617 per annum (£22,695 FTE) + Benefits 

Early Childhood Partnership is seeking an experienced Data & Monitoring Officer to join the Eastcotts Children Centre team (with multi-site travel to all ECP Children Centre sites).

If you have excellent data analysis & reporting skills, along with strong numerical and admin abilities, then this may be the role for you!

The Data & Monitoring role exists to improve ECP data collection and handling, and is essential for performance analysis in our children’s centres and across the charity, so that ECP impact can be increased and better evidenced. 

The key elements of the post are to:

     To be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation processes for ECP.

     To develop, implement and maintain data collection and monitoring systems for the ECP, those record key performance indicators, as defined by regulators, commissioners and ECP to evidence outcomes and impact of the services provided.

     Support staff to input accurate data into a range of specialist data systems.

     Train staff in the use of data systems for data entry, running reports and analysis of data.

     To collect BBC Children’s registration and engagement figures and process data to show take up percentage across Bedford Borough.

     To identify areas of low uptake across Bedford Borough.

     To identify registration and engagement figures by target groups and families.

     To support collation and interpretation of data in preparation for reports and internal and external inspections.

Essential Knowledge, skills & Experience

      Knowledge and experience of administration and ideally level 2 or 3 qualification

      Good understanding of the principles of customer centred service provision and experience of working in a customer focused environment

      IT literate with a good working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook (Desirable)

      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Publisher or willing to acquire

      Good database skills and confidence to produce standard and tailored reports (training in the specialist database will be provided)

      Good standard of numeracy in order to process data accurately

      High standard of literacy in order to draft communications and produce newsletters

      Willingness to adjust working hours to meet operational needs, this may involve some evening and weekend working

      Full driving licence and suitably insured car available for use during working hours (Desirable)

      Able to work at other ECP Children’s Centres if required
