Our client sources organic fruit worldwide, packing at two sites within Kent and distributing to a range of UK retailers. Their success and business acumen has made them a highly respected supplier and employer within their sector and they now seek an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Manager to join their team.
The post holder will be an essential part of the Technical team supporting the Technical Director to develop technical systems within the business and to be involved in product development, working closely with the commercial and operational teams. Essential requirements are that you are audit and HACCP experienced.
The successful candidate is likely to be someone with major retailer experience. You will need to be a self starter and have excellent interpersonal skills, with a partnership approach to working with suppliers and growers and able to develop and maintain them the highest technical standards.
The ideal candidate will be able represent the organisation in the UK and as necessary overseas, liaising with suppliers, fellow employees and customers.
Excellent inter-personnel, IT and communication skills are essential.
An aptitude for dealing with people in an assertive, confident and natural manner is also desirable. The role will involve some travelling and so the ability to work using your own initiative and problem solve rationally is desirable.
Experience in the fresh produce sector is essential - preferably within fruit.
