JOB TITLE: Production / Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: Chesterfield Area
SALARY: GBP25-30k, pension, benefits
THE CLIENT:-
My client, a successful manufacturing organisation offering a uniquely varied modern production environment, needs a Production Engineer to join their Production Engineering team introducing new products into production, developing new equipment, tooling, jigs and fixtures and solving problems in a lean manufacturing environment.
THE ROLE:
In this responsible role, you will improve processes and production capability, manage new products into production and deliver a variety of related projects. The right person will find this role stimulating and interesting and you will be stretched and challenged.
To succeed in this role you will need strong communication and time management skills and be able to work on multiple projects using your production, engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
THE CANDIDATE:-
The successful Production Engineer will:
- Provide day to day support to the production process.
- Manage product changes and introduce new products and product changes into production (NPI).
- Own and deliver projects ranging from tooling, hand tools, jigs and fixtures to new processes.
- Undertake continuous improvement activities.
TO APPLY:
You should be have:
- Qualifications to at least HNC level in a mechanical or electrical engineering subject.
- Experience of production engineering / manufacturing engineering, ideally in an assembly or component production environment.
- UP to date problem solving skills e.g. 8D, 5Whys, Ishikawa.
- Up to date quality improvement tools e.g. FMEA, SPC.
- Project Management skills and tolls e.g. MS Project.
- Self-motivation and strong cross functional team working skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage projects and people to achieve your objectives.
You will enjoy working on the shop floor in a highly motivated team at an exciting time in the company??????s development, contributing towards the manufacture of high quality products in the UK
