English Graduate Teaching Assistant - Birmingham

Are you an aspiring English Teacher? Do you hold an English degree or related subject? Did you achieve a 2:1 or above?

If yes to all the above, why not start your teaching career as an English Teaching Assistant in a Birmingham Secondary School, supporting students in Key Stage 4 as they work towards their GCSEs next year.

***English Graduate Teaching Assistant
***Graduate of English or related subject are required
***2:1 or above Hons degree with strong A-Levels
***Large Birmingham Secondary School
***Ideal experience prior to a PGCE
***GBP55 - GBP60 per day

This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring teacher teacher to gain valuable experience prior to your teacher training. The school utilise graduates to great effect in recent years and many have gone onto PGCEs and other training programmes.

This position would suit an energetic, enthusiastic teaching assistant who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree and ideally has some previous experience supporting children. This post requires a graduate who has the skills to build rapport quickly, helping them to engage with their colleagues and pupils. The Headteacher wants to recruit a graduate with a motivational character and an innate ability to communicate and inspire the children.

In this English Teaching Assistant post you will be working solely in the English department providing support to pupils who are not at the levels they should be. You will have the chance to lead individual sessions with particularly gifted or challenging pupils and help to run smaller 'booster' groups.

Found in Birmingham, this secondary school is popular choice for parents. Thanks to the open-mindedness of the leadership team, the school has become an important hub of activity and learning within the community.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to shape the lives of young people in Birmingham. If you think you can help transform the opportunities for the community this secondary school serves then we would like to hear from you for this English Teaching Assistant position.
