Salary: 14,040 - £14,670 per annum pro rata
Hours of work: Part Time.
The annual leave entitlement is 22 days per year plus bank holidays.
About us:
Dove House Hospice is a charity providing excellent care for people in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire with life limiting illnesses. We are specialists in palliative care which is the total care of patients whose illness is no longer curable and for whom the goal must be quality of life.
The Challenge:
This position asks that you assist the Shop Manager in the running of an efficient and effective retail outlet and be acting manager in their absence.
The role:
- In the absence of the Shop Manager, be the main keyholder for the shop, attending emergency call outs as necessary and allowing access to the emergency services, contractors, etc as required. This may involve working outside normal hours.
- Assist the Shop Manager in achieving the sales budget, trading company budget and gift aid budget. This will include analysing epos reports and taking necessary steps to maximise the sales in the store.
- Be responsible for sorting, categorising and pricing all donated goods, as defined in Hospice Policy, through the Shop Manager, to include working in the warehouse and distribution centre as and when required.
The requirements:
To fulfil the role effectively you must have retail experience as well as experience of staff supervision.
