Our client develops individual coating solutions for components and is also a leader in the building of coating machines. They specialise in Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) coatings and have one of the world’s most comprehensive coatings portfolios.

They are currently looking to recruit an Equipment Development Engineer at their site in Droitwich Worcs.

Responsibilites:

• To deliver optimal development and design solutions to enable further development of

existing PVD Coating Equipment including Vacuum Systems.

• To integrate new functional developments within PVD Coating Equipment.
• To work with and lead teams in Development and Design projects.
• Contributing to Equipment and Process Safety Improvements including performing

FMEA’s, risk Assessments, COSHH etc.

• Working closely with R&D and Equipment Design & Production to identify specific requirements.
• To contribute to creation and maintenance of Equipment Instruction Manuals as well as developing and documenting new procedures.

Requirements:

• Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
• Good knowledge of Vacuum systems, preferably with a minimum of 3 years

experience in the Vacuum industry.

• Knowledge of different techniques in the PVD Coating area is preferable.
• Knowledge of modelling software would be beneficial
• Basic knowledge of Plasma Physics
• Good communication Skills.
• Analytical, fault finding and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge/experience of IPR identification and protection would be an advantage.
• Highly Motivated with drive and commitment to deliver and work to deadlines.
• Willingness to learn PVD Coating Process
