Our clients are a diverse and increasingly expanding group of companies - within the Financial Services industry - that are actively looking to appoint a dynamic Financial Controller to join their head office team based in Yorkshire. The successful applicant will play an integral part within the senior management team, and will be heavily instrumental in driving the forward direction of this diverse group. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and skilled finance professional, to join a leading business during a period of organic growth and diversification.
Purpose of this job:
* This role reports directly into the Group CFO and has management responsibilities for a finance team (Financial and Regulatory Reporting) of up to 15 team members.
Major responsibilities will cover the following:
* Reporting into the Group CFO, this role has full responsibility for overseeing internal finance controls.
* Responsible for the recruitment, leadership and development of a team of 15 members
* Responsible for the delivery and co-ordination of all statutory and financial reporting matters
* Liaising with HMRC on all tax matters for the group
* Relationship management with key external and internal stakeholders
* Responsible for the successful management and execution of key operational finance projects
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Full accountancy qualification - ACA or ACCA and educated to degree level
* Significant experience within a management position within Financial Services.
* Strong financial management and control expertise
* Staff management experience
* Sound understanding of financial controls within a regulated environment
