Our client is part of one of the largest transport services organisations in Europe, employing some 47,500 people and delivering more than 1.5 billion passenger journeys across 12 European countries every year. They operate an extensive range of services including buses, trains, health and social transport services, airport related transport services, commuter coaches and water buses. Also engaging in bus and coach distribution.
Our client has a number of vacancies at their Elland, Huddersfield and Barnsley depots for Multi-skilled Fitters. The main focus of the role is to assist in maintaining a varied fleet, paying particular attention to detail. You will be responsible for diagnosing major unit faults, and removing and refitting units to vehicles. You will need to ensure servicing and the maintenance of vehicles are carried out to a high standard.
To be successful as a Multi-skilled Fitter you will need to have the ability to work unsupervised and work to preset standards and guidelines, with particular focus on working within Health and Safety requirements. You will have a sound knowledge of PCV maintenance, with the relevant qualifications to certify this. PCV licence is desirable.
