Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a Financial Services organisation based in Wakefield in recruiting an apprentice Accounts and Administration Assistant.
Working to the direct supervision of the Finance Manager you will provide much needed support to the accounts department as well as carrying out general office support duties. You will receive on the job training and support whilst attending college and working towards your AAT level 2.

The opportunity exists for the right candidate to progress internally within the company as you develop your skills and the business is committed to train you to at least AAT level 3. This role would suit someone with a desire for a career in accounts who is at the beginning of their career.

Responsibilities are to include:

*Bank reconciliation on Sage
*Raising cheques and bankline payments, daily claims
*Weekly banking and processing in Sage
*Petty Cash
*Processing purchase ledger invoices and making payments
*Purchase ledger statement reconciliation
*Journals
*Various aspects of accounting processes as training progresses
*Opening, recording and disturbing post to the team everyday
*Stationery orders
*Returned mail
*Making drinks for meetings
*Maintenance of filing and support for other staff members
*Answering phone
*Franking post
