Our client is an innovative, fast-growing company in the specialist chemicals sector. They are now looking for an Apprentice Field Service Technician to join their team, working 35 hours per week.

As an Apprentice Field Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to train and learn the skills required to become an electrical/mechanical engineer. 

Specifically, your role will involve the installation and maintenance of commercial laundry equipment across the UK. 

You will have the chance to learn many aspects of the business including specialist skills such as pump and control system installation and maintenance for industrial washing machines. 

The focus of your role will be on the development of your electrical and mechanical skills to enable you to undertake installation and maintenance duties unaided. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to become a fully skilled electrical/mechanical laundry technician and gain further qualifications including 17th Edition IEE Regs and an FLT licence. What’s more, for ambitious technicians, there may also be the chance to progress and achieve your Higher National Certificate in Engineering. 

Your other activities will involve: 

- Warehousing activities to control stock and orders 
- Assisting in the manufacture and analysis of specialist chemical products 
- Completing on-site maintenance work 

Interested? To be considered for this exciting and rewarding apprenticeship, you must have at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths, English and Science. 

Practically minded and enthusiastic, as an Apprentice Field Service Technician, you’ll also need to be a strong communicator with the willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge. 

The ideal candidate will possess a driving licence to enable the travel which forms part of this role, however this is by no means essential.
