Working as part of a team of 3 in Quality Control, this will be an interesting and challenging position as we establish both the physical scope of the work as well as the procedure and data capture of these inspections. This role will also act as a bridge between design and manufacturing to ensure products going into production have all elements captured, from labelling and their positioning on the products, to the finish, packaging etc.

  • Inspection of First Off samples from internal production (component through to finished product), reporting and detailing findings and recommendations. This will need to include signed off examples of product master samples, both as complete items and finishes etc to ensure consistency.

  • Audit and training of Test / Inspection staff over the processes they are doing, they need to do and consistently that they keep to.

  • Do regular product improvement assessments, which involves taking a boxed product from stock, and handling it like a consumer, evaluating the whole cycle from the unpacking experience, to parts checking, installing, ease of assembly, accuracy of installation instructions to the general quality of the product itself. Can you improve how it goes together? Are the installation instructions 100% correct? etc etc.

  • Report progress regularly on the assigned tasks, highlighting where agreed target dates are not going to be met and making recommendations to when process needs change.
