Permanent, full time position based in Hertford

IT Luggage Limited is an award winning innovative luggage and travel goods business with offices in UK, US, Australia, Hong Kong and China, founded in 1985.  We have a fantastic opportunity for a creative Senior Graphic Designer/Team Leader looking for the next step in their career, who thrives in a busy environment and working within a small dedicated team.  This role is full time and must be office based in Hertford.

The role will involve:

• Managing traffic of the department, team members & allocation/approval of briefs
• Interpreting briefs and specifications to create visual designs
• Designing graphics for hang tags, product labels, banners and packaging to customer specification
• Taking projects from conception to completion
• Preparing presentations for clients to agreed specification and formats
• Retouching and image processing
• Creating “mock ups” of hang tags, display boxes and other POS products
• Simple artworker jobs when required
• Undertaking continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends

About you:

• Degree qualified or equivalent in Graphic Design and at least 5 years relevant experience
• A creative thinker and problem solver with a flair for brochure and catalogue page layout design and product POS
• Passionate about design with an innovative mind-set and ability to spot the next retail/customer trend
• Exceptional visual design skills supported by a personal portfolio of work
• Able to manage both your own workload and that of the team to meet challenging deadlines, balancing quantity and quality
• A confident communicator, able to develop rapport at all levels
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
• Experience of managing a team is not required, but the ability & drive to do so is essential
