The Key Account Manager Opportunity:

This role will be to profitably develop the Local Chemical Distribution (LCD) business within an agreed customer base / territory alongside your peers and colleagues. This will involve spending as much time as is reasonably possible in front of customers looking for new opportunities and at the same time growing and strengthening relationships. This role will report to the Area Sales Manager LCD North.

Key Account Manager Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

+ The achievement of agreed sales and margin budgets
+ Growth in customer numbers and product penetration
+ Building customer relationships 
+ Promoting our value proposition to all customers as a platform for growth
+ Development and delivery of a credible sales pipeline
+ Growing the diversity and depth of our relationships with customers
+ To understand and keep abreast of industry and market trends
+ Deliver business reporting as required
+ Working with corporate sales teams as required

It is essential that you are able to work effectively within all levels of an organisation and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task and, crucially, be prepared to take ownership and meaningful action. As a sales professional you will be positive and inquisitive by nature, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and sound commercial acumen. 

You will be able to develop relations, positively influence both customers and colleagues, have an understanding of the Household Industrial Cleaning Sector and Surfactant Product Range and know how to close a sale. The need for strong business acumen and a proven sales track record are essential for this role.
