Spotlight Case Worker

Ashton under Lyne, Tameside

Salary: £19,600 following a successful 6-month probationary period

Hours: 37.5 per week
*Please Note; Funding for this role will end on 30th June 2018 (unless additional funding is secured)

A leading social housing provider currently has an exciting opportunity for a Spotlight Case Worker within their Tameside Project which provides a service for homeless people at risk of social exclusion. The service, Unlocking Potential, aims to deliver a flexible and innovative approach to reduce and prevent homelessness in Tameside focusing on recovery capital and skills based approaches rather than traditional support methods.

The main purpose of the Spotlight Case Worker role is to facilitate access to accommodation and provide intensive housing related support to offenders subject to Spotlight, to ensure the smooth transition from custody to reintegration in the community to reduce incidences of re-offending.

Candidate Requirements:

The key knowledge, skills and behaviours required for this Case Worker role are:

  • Experience of working with ex-offenders in a support/caseworker capacity
  • Experience of collating statistical information
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Plans and prioritises effectively.
  • Good time management and organisation skills.
  • Team player.
  • Builds and maintains good working relationships.
