Membership Development Manager – NFU Cymru
Salary from £36,000 per annum dependant on experience
Company Car included
About you
Are you up to the challenge of helping the NFU develop its membership offer in Wales?
The successful individual will work with our NFU Cymru team and Local Group Secretaries to monitor the performance and advise managers on performance issues and help develop and implement marketing initiatives to assist with the recruitment and retention of members.
About the role
As Membership Development Manager you will work closely with the NFU Mutual to develop and support our joint network of Group Secretaries, who promote NFU Cymru and its services at a local level, based at group offices throughout Wales. The ability to demonstrate an understanding of the NFU and the NFU Mutual is therefore desirable. You’ll be motivated by helping others to develop professionally and, due to the liaison with the NFU Mutual, you’ll also need to demonstrate an ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
Reporting to the National Network Manager, you will work closely with the Director, County Network Manager and County Advisers in NFU Cymru to ensure continual development and performance improvement, including the achievement of membership objectives, in Wales.
In addition, you will contribute to training and development programmes to improve recruitment and retention, therefore experience of delivering engaging presentations to a range of audiences is advantageous. Being able to speak the Welsh language would also be an advantage.
Why join our team?
The NFU is the voice of farming in England and Wales, and our members are at the heart of what we do. On their behalf we lobby government in Cardiff, Westminster, Brussels and other stakeholders to allow farm businesses to thrive. Alongside this we provide a comprehensive range of frontline services to support members in their businesses. Working for the NFU means working alongside great people, who are recognised for their knowledge and expertise across the industry. A company Car is included and we offer 25 days annual leave (plus statutory bank holidays) and a friendly working environment.
