Web Designer/ Developer
Our client is a leading North East design agency offering a range of creative and marketing services. An opportunity has arisen for a Web Developer/ Client Manager to join their dynamic team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious web developer with experience of managing clients either through your current/ previous position or freelancing.
As a Web Developer, you will design bespoke websites built on a variety of open source platforms including Wordpress, OpenCart and Woocommerce. You will transform Photoshop designs into HTML / CSS and responsive layouts to develop a variety of interesting and user friendly websites.
You will oversee everything from the initial design and specification through to delivery and ongoing maintenance. You will also be responsible for ongoing maintenance of existing clients websites.
The other side of the role involves client and project management. You will manage a group of clients assigned to you, as well as their associated projects. These consistute approximately a third of the company's existing client base and projects.
Duties include dealing with enquiries via email or telephone, as well as meeting clients regarding ongoing jobs, supported by the Account Manager.
It is the intention that after three months experience, you will manage all assigned clients and projects with little or no support from management. Therefore you must have a self-starting nature and great problem solving skills.
Our client offers excellent training and career progression prospects. Training will be primarily on the job with the company director closely mentoring you in the early stages.

• Commercial web development experience
• A good knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS 3
• Experience of Wordpress and ideally OpenCart and Woocommerce, or the ability to quickly learn these platforms
• A basic understanding of Javascript and PHP
• Experience of managing clients and projects
• Good communication skills
