Fixed Term Primary Supply Teacher (Full time & Part time)

Job Description

Can you make a difference to the future lives of Glasgow's children? Glasgow City Council is seeking to recruit temporary/fixed term supply teachers to cover various positions throughout the city up to June 2016.  As a supply teacher you will be required to move from school to school to cover various posts to meet the needs of the service.  You must be committed, passionate, well qualified staff member with provisional/full GTCS Registration.  We will support you to inspire the learning of our children and young people.  In addition to the range of teaching and other duties outlined in the job specification we are looking for individuals who enjoy working collegiately with colleagues, and who have a firm commitment to improving the outcomes for Glasgow's young people. On receipt of your application you will be contacted in due course by a member of the CBS Supply Team. Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with provisional/full GTCS Registration. These posts are Fixed Term cover until at least June 2016 and Temporary for a period up to 1 year.

Please note no applications will be accepted from current induction probationers and successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership or Scheme Checks. RC Approval is required if wishing to work in RC Sector.

You will require to confirm your availability and arrange an appointment to complete the PVG form and all other necessary recruitment paperwork. When recruited to the Supply Register you will be offered work by the CBS Supply Team, 0141 276 9914 (option 3, 1).
