We are seeking an experienced Service Administrator to join our busy countywide Leaving Care Project as part of the established administration team.
Barnardo's Leaving Care Service in Derbyshire is commissioned to provide support and guidance for Derbyshire young people who are transitioning from being in care to independence. You would be joining an experienced and highly skilled staff team who work with vulnerable young people with the aim of ensuring they are supported to make this challenging journey to adulthood.
As a result, we are seeking an individual with excellent people skills to create a welcoming environment within the service base to promote positive working with young people, professionals and carers using the Chesterfield service.
As the service administrator, you will be primarily responsible for finance and data processing. Therefore, the role requires applicants to have essential knowledge and skills in these areas. Experience of cash handling and motivation for accuracy are key characteristics for this role.
As the service is countywide, you would be part of an admin team who work in other bases in Derbyshire. Therefore occasional travelling for meetings is a feature of this role and travel expenses are provided for these occasions.
Your working week is Monday - Friday (35 hours per week)
Applicants will be required to undertake a Declaration that neither they nor anyone who lives in the same household as the applicant or who lives at their address, is a disqualified person under the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009.

Closing date: 20 January 2017.
