The Company
This group is an established yet rapidly expanding retailer and manufacturer of Print. Operating through many Brands, they target all sectors of the market; from small & micro businesses to the largest FTSE 100 Companies. Through advanced production technology, the power of the Web and a clear vision of the future, they are revolutionising the Print industry. On the back of the revolution they have been growing at a phenomenal rate for the past 4 years and have recently made it onto the Times Virgin Fast Track 100 list. Fuelled by this growth, and our future plans for expansion, they are now recruiting for a Junior Artworker to join their Studio Team. They are located just 10 minutes from junction 36 of the M1 near Wath Upon Dearne in South Yorkshire. The starting salary is £15-16k dependant on experience.

The Role
At the centre of their lively and fast paced artwork team you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of all artwork and providing support to customers via email. You will have to communicate with the artwork team, the sales teams, the pre-press team and customers to ensure that orders are processed within their tight turnaround deadlines.

The essential functions of this role include but are not limited to;

- dealing with all incoming artwork, proof and help emails
- proof incoming artwork to customers
- meet artwork deadlines for print
- fix problem artwork

The Candidate

You will ideally have some graphic design or Pre-press experience from a similar role, with a good understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite. With a high level of attention to detail, self-motivation and an ability to work to strict deadlines, you will also be professional and a good communicator. As the role is customer facing, and you will be dealing with print professionals and the general public on a daily basis so experience in retail or sales would be beneficial.

Skills and Abilities

- You will not have a 9-5 mentality. A level of flexibility is needed as you may sometimes be required to work during weekends and evenings as and when required.
- You will be personable, perhaps with previous experience in a customer facing role.
- You have the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment, whilst still working with precision and a high level of attention to detail.
- You will have experience of or the ability to work in a team, but also with the confidence to work to your own initiative.
- You are a confident communicator, both face to face, over the phone and via email.
- You will be numerate and computer literate.
- You can follow instructions and maintain a high level of housekeeping.
