Salary: £16,568.00 per annum / £8.36 per hour

The Waltham Forest Supported Living Team provides support and care to 32 individuals with Learning Disabilities. The team consists of 9 services which are located in Leyton and Leytonstone. We are now recruiting for flexible support workers to work in our team. The role will involve personal care duties, sleep ins and lone working.

Applicants for this role must possess the following:
* Have real enthusiasm for the job and a willingness to learn more
* Be a creative thinker and have the ability to find practical solutions to problems
* Will be a co- keyworker to Service users and be able to work with their circle of support - such as Care management, relatives, professionals and other multidisciplinary agencies, in order to deliver the most appropriate service ensuring that holistic programmes of support are coordinated to an excellent standard.
* Must have a good standard of IT skills
* Must be able to use a lot of initiative, have good judgement and show commitment, as this is a lone working post
* Be able to support Service Users using person centred specific approaches that offer an improved quality of life and provide consistent and reliable support.
* Ability to provide care and support to individuals in line with agreed support plans and risk assessments in place
* Ability to support individuals in all aspects of their everyday lives, delivering practical, physical and emotional support
* Ability to promote choice, independence and self-determination.
