Systems Developer

The Systems Developer Role

Across NAHL Group plc, the Group IT function is embarking on a number of new initiatives and projects. For that reason, we are looking to expand the IT function with an additional Developer. Working in a business committed to delivering innovative and slick IT solutions, we need someone who can speak effectively with internal customers across all parts of our business.

Key Responsibilities as our Systems Developer:

You will be given the opportunity to work independently and as part of the wider IT team to:

- Integrate systems internally and externally with our business partners

- Listen to business requirements and turn them into technical solutions

- Be challenged to query our databases to answer complex problems and enable the business to make decisions

- Use data from sources like Google and Bing and merge this with ours to analyse marketing activity

- Work with a management team who are open to using new technologies and methodologies and allow the Development team to be creative and innovative.

Skills and Experience needed to become our Systems Developer:

Essential:

- Experience of relational databases and SQL Management Studio.

- Knowledge of programming languages - Java Script, SQL, C#, HTML & ASP.net.

- Exposure to SQL server administration.

- Detailed understanding of the development life cycle.

- Detailed understanding of the system testing cycle.

- Ability to interpret accurately interpret user requirements.

- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Self-motivated and adaptable.

- Strong problem solving skills.

Desirable:

- Experience of working with contact centre technologies.

- Some experience with Frontrange Goldmine Enterprise Edition administrator and screen designer or equivalent CRM configuration tool.

- Prior exposure to system integration technologies via XML & JSON.

- Exposure to web services technologies SOAP, WCF & web API2.
