A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lab Technician/Technologist to join the world’s largest producer of printing inks, pigments and functional coatings. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our clients laboratory teams in Rochdale. You will be at the forefront of cutting edge technology helping our client to remain the world leader in the production of inks, pigments and functional coatings. 

About you:
The successful candidate will have the following background: 

•    A minimum of five good GCSE grades (A* - C) with an emphasis on science subjects plus some experience of working in a laboratory or a degree in Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline.
•    Good verbal, organisational and written communications skills.

The Role
Working as part of a laboratory based team, on the support and maintenance of existing products and on the development of new products. Will also be expected to carry out a range of daily tasks in the laboratory as required.


Key responsibilities include:

•    Working closely with our analytical teams to test, analyse and present findings
•    Carrying out testing to defined standards or tolerances of sample, products and raw materials
•    Follow all appropriate procedures effectively and perform all appropriate tasks within set timescales and to set standards
•    Ensuring that all data is recorded accurately and in a timely fashion, ensuring that all information is maintained on a regular basis
