Job Title: HR Advisor

Location: Gateshead

Salary: circa £25,000 per annum

Position: Temporary (up to 9 months)

The company is a busy and expanding HR / employment law outsourcing business and they're currently looking for a temporary HR Advisor to help cover a period of maternity leave, and join their professional and dedicated team of HR / Employment Law Advisors.

Job Role:

This is a customer-focused role (internal and external), which involves providing HR, employee relations and employment law advice to managers and business owners, from a variety of sectors, on issues including employee relations, TUPE transfers, performance management, reward & recognition, staff development. Collaborative working is central to the team ethos, within this learning and supportive environment and the successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of HR and employment law issues.

The Candidate:

• The company is looking for someone with very practical experience of coaching managers and advising on complex disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancy and restructure, absence management and performance management.
• Candidates, ideally, should be CIPD qualified or studying towards membership or equivalent.
• Current generalist HR experience and knowledge of employment law and how to apply it to a variety of scenarios to ensure best practice is essential and well as the ability to work within a fast paced, high volume environment.
• A team player, you will have outstanding communication and influencing skills.
