This Part Time Office Administrator role is crucial to our client’s busy Home Furnishing Department located in their store in central Guildford. They are looking for approximately 20 - 25 hours a week. Monday-Friday.
The role is varied and busy. It is primarily an office based job, ordering customer special orders, controlling the diaries of Home Sales consultants and fitters, preparing and allocating work to freelance makers and communicating with their customers.
The ideal candidate would have prior experience in dressing windows as well as administration. Strong IT skills and good Maths are essential for this position. Other important skills will include the ability to work under pressure, team-work, self motivation, problem solving and maintaining and running a tidy and well organised office.
The Office Administrator reports to and is supported by, the Furnishing Floor Manager.
Some of the duties required of this Office Administrator post are:
• Overall responsibility for all furnishing orders being processed.
• Production of customer estimates / curtain makers worksheets.
• Responsibility for running the two diaries.
• Liaising with customers, home sales consultant, track fitters, suppliers and curtain makers.
• Ordering of furnishing workroom stock.
Salary: £7.50 - £8.20 per Hour, Dependent on Experience
