Core to their growth as the leader in their field, they created a Training Centre to deliver a large range of courses and accreditations, including City and Guilds and Lantra Awards to train their own workforce and help their clients develop and train their employees. The Training Centre supports both companies and an individual's development by 'Creating Opportunities through Training'.

Role purpose:
To generate income and the day to day coordination and running of the Training Centre.
Your particular focus will be:
- Build and maintain customer relations, maintain and improve standards of service.
- Ensure all customer requirements are clearly identified and translated into meaningful information such that the Training Centre team can meet the customer's requirements.
- Assisting with the development of a commercial strategy for the company.
- Assisting with the development of short term and long term planned and pre planned works.
- Work the Senior Management Team to review and improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
- Offer direction and instruction to staff as required.
- Responsible for contractual and commercial issues.
- Work in collaboration with the Operations Team and Training Centre Managers/Assessors in the co-ordination of internal and external training requirements. Ensure efficient and effective operational flow.
- Ensure that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties.
- Discovering areas that may not be in keeping with regulation practices.
- Report to monthly management meeting with company updates and forecasts.
- Ability to produce reports and present them as required.
- Responsible for identifying and maximising development opportunities.
- Meeting and exceeding KPI's with regard to:
- Sales Activity
- Target Customers
- Sales and profit
- Growth Strategies
Candidate Specification:
Qualifications/Experience-
- Can demonstrate superior management and organisational skills
- Evidence of expert negotiating skills.
- Efficient presentation and communication skills.
- Solid industry networks
- Decisive, have the commercial awareness and can demonstrate solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities.
- Project management
- Must be computer literate and be able to learn and use the companies' in-house system.
- Qualified to Degree or equivalent
- A background in the construction or similar industrial sector ideally in a training environment would be useful, but not essential
- Managed major accounts
