Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Be able to complete a full tool change in a safe and timely manner
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of Hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems and be able to apply that knowledge to ensure efficient production.
- Be able to locate and repair machine faults
- Focus on scrap reduction and achieving overall OEE targets.
- Be able to work to and implement good manufacturing practices
- Be able to complete PPM requirements
- Complete periodical safety checks on machine guards, switches and interlocks
- Have worked with Magic, Atoma Plus, Battenfield and Fischer blow moulding machines
- Have used high density, low density, polypropylene and TPX materials
- Flexibility and commitment to the role is a must
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Time served apprenticeship with an electrical or mechanical bias essential
- Experience working in a plastics/ manufacturing industry desirable
- Experience of one or more of the following:
- Blow moulding
- Injection moulding
- Packaging skills
- ISBM – (injection stretch blow moulding) – Nissei / ABS 150 DP
- EBM – (extrusion blow moulding) – Davis Standard SE38 –accumulator head
Qualifications:
HNC/City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering
