Job Title: International Installation Technician

Location: Based Glasgow / surrounding areas

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 pa, plus generous tax free overnight allowances. All travel and accommodation expenses are met and uniform is provided.

Job Role:

This is a unique opportunity for a professional person with strong electrical and/or mechanical skills to develop a specialist career in a respected high-tech logistics and medical installation company with Headquarters in Oxfordshire.

The role involves travelling extensively world-wide for up to four weeks at a time and working in small teams on site to install high value medical equipment in hospitals and private clinics.

You will need to be able to follow floor plans and technical specifications, measure accurately, use power tools confidently and to think on your feet, finding solutions to problems as they arise.

A professional manner is required, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with colleagues, project managers, technical support and clinical staff. Good written skills are required as some report writing will be necessary.

You can expect to be away from home for up to four weeks at a time depending on the location and nature of the installation work together with a significant degree of associated international travel. Assignment of work may be at short notice and this role requires significant flexibility as weekend working is a regular feature.

This role would ideally suit a professional person looking to develop a long-term career while undertaking training on the job, leading to formal certification and the ability to lead an installation, train and supervise trainee team members.

The company's head office is based in Oxfordshire, but the successful candidate will travel from their home location direct to the installation site. Occasional travel to HQ will be required.

Essential requirements:

• Extensive mechanical / electrical / engineering experience
• Valid passport with the ability to travel and work worldwide for extended periods
• Good IT, report writing and problem solving skills
• Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate effectively
