The new branch provides an exciting career opportunity for a self-motivated and highly skilled Engineer with experience in either security or fire alarms to undertake a varied role. Jackson Fire and Security is one of the leading independent fire and security solutions providers and has been rapidly expanding the operations across the UK. The company has grown steadily since it formed in 1991 and is now one of the most respected solutions led companies operating in the field. Offering installation and maintenance services, Jackson offers a wide range of solutions from basic fire extinguishers through to large commercial installations. Recent investment at the head office included commissioning of a £30,000 bespoke training room to enable Engineers to brush up on fire and security alarm repair and maintenance skills. It boasts seven complete alarm systems including Siemens and Honeywell for new recruits to train on.

Reporting to the Branch Director, as a Security & Fire Alarm Engineer you will install, service and commission a wide range of fire and security systems to a high standard and on schedule. Your responsibilities and duties will include although not be limited to;

• Installing, servicing and commissioning small to medium sized fire and intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems
• Providing certification for installed and serviced systems to comply with relevant British standards
• Identifying potential opportunities where customers could benefit from using additional services
• Managing own diary to ensure allocated work is completed on time
• Attending Walsall office for weekly meetings and stock collection

To be considered for this Security & Fire Alarm Engineer role you will have the following experience, skills, knowledge and attributes;

• Either experience with installing, servicing and commissioning fire or security systems, training will be provided for the other systems where required
• Client focused approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Enthusiasm and professional attitude
• Ability to manage own work load with minimal supervision
• Full UK driving licence

Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory DBS and BS7858 checks.

Salary:                         £23,000-£30,000 level dependent on experience, plus attractive bonuses with OTE of £45,000.

Hours of Work:             8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required to support business and client needs.

Location:                      Field based covering Walsall and surrounding areas, particularly Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham and Wolverhampton although not limited to.
