Graduate Quantity Surveyor, Salary: Up to £25k, Based: Cannock, Staffordshire
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to work for a leading construction company who specialise in off-site construction / Modular building. The purpose of the role is to assist the Senior Project Surveyor in managing all post contract financial and commercial activity on multiple fastrack projects, including subcontract and material procurement, monthly reporting of cost and value to the project team and forecasting of project performance. You will also be required to support the commercial department in a live project environment experiencing continued growth, and maintaining procurement and financial reporting processes.
Applicants should have a BSc in Quantity Surveying with an understanding of construction technology and commercial aspects of the construction industry. You will need to be highly motivated and driven with a willingness to learn and develop.
Graduate Quantity Surveyor Main Responsibilities;
- Assist with the subcontract procurement process – preparation of tender packages, tender reconciliations and subcontract documents.
- Assist with the preparation and negotiations of all monthly project interim and final accounts.
- Measurement from drawings (and on site where required) to prepare, negotiate, and agree subcontractor and client variations.
- Attendance at client’s monthly project progress meetings where required.
- Analysis of project costs to feedback to the Estimators on a regular basis.
- All necessary Health and Safety training will be given.
