A Business Development / Sales Manager is required to work within an International Telecommunications Company based in Cheshire, who are looking to expand their client base. This major Telecommunications provider are looking for a candidate with a strong commercial knowledge market leading business.
The Company as a whole is currently undergoing vast expansion due to its success and has grown its client base significantly within the UK, Europe and the USA. The business model is constructed around providing global support to the clients of major Telecommunication Companies. The client data base currently that includes major blue chip Companies. They also support smaller businesses with technical upgrades, support and training.
They sell to professional Telecom and Engineering services and can supply telecomms equipment which can be used to provide telephone services to organisations employing as few as 15 staff, to call centres to some with many thousands.
Their role depends on what SLA's are required by the clients, working to instructions all the times. They employ their own engineers who will travel the globe to undertake installations, upgrades, repairs etc. Their employed engineers are Avaya and Cisco specialists. They have a UK based 24 X 7 Support Desk incorporating fluency in various foreign languages.
The Role:
- To generate and attend face to face meetings with clients.
- You will be in charge of the entire sales cycle and managing your pipeline, including account management.
- Responsibility for lead generation and marketing. You will be expected to start and develop new relationships, using your development skills.
- Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects and be flexible when faced with challenging timescales and difficult working environments.
- You must be able to communicate information effectively both verbally and in writing to your colleagues and clients.
- Delivery of sales and service targets
Essential requirements:
- Built and closed multi million pound deals (You will be carrying a target of £1-5million - so need experience of achieving similar targets)
- Technical background in Telecomms and Video Conferencing
- Can work independently
- Excellent business sense
- A positive attitude and team work
- Negotiation skills
- Can demonstrate initiative
- Good communication skills
Advantageous:
- Good knowledge of Information Security practices, the Cyber Defence industry and solutions
- Developing existing relationships with influential clients, opening doors at a senior level including: CISO / CIO, business decision makers and relevant technical decision makers
