A Sales Manager / Team Leader is required for a forward thinking media company in Dartford - you will be managing a small outbound team of BDE's and BDM's - probably 3 initially - this is a hands on role. We are looking for someone who can lead from the front and who has experience of managing a small sales team but is looking for the opportunity to grow their skills and opportunity

Purpose of the Role

Managing a team of BDE sales staff.

In this key role you will be responsible for developing new business and building your client relationships to achieve personal monthly sales targets and objectives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
. Develop new business across the UK by providing media, data and lead generation solutions to prospective clients.
. Researching prospects to identify revenue opportunities, business needs, decision-makers and influencers.
. Maintenance of an adequate pipeline and personal sales plan to support the achievement of your sales targets.
. Fact finding of customer requirements, tailoring customised proposals of products
. Present proposals and conduct face to face sales meetings with prospective clients where necessary.
. Effectively manage the order process and the resolution of client queries.
. Quality sales forecasting and reporting to management.
. Ensure any opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell company products are maximised by providing recommendations to new and existing customers.
. To promote the company as a brand of choice and be a positive brand ambassador at all times.

Qualifications:

. Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
. 5 GCSE's or equivalent at Grace C or above (to include English and Maths).
. Educated to Degree level or equivalent

Experience and Knowledge

. Commercially focused with a sales background (either face to face or telesales).
. Proven experience of developing and generating new business.
. Experience within the Data, Call Centre, Publishing, Media, Advertising or Sales industry desirable
