ICT Solutions Architect

Do you have a wide knowledge of technology and love to ask questions?

This group of Museums are seeking a Solution Architect to help deliver the most significant ICT transformation programme in over a decade. This role will focus on architectural based solution design, proof of concepts and governance to realise the first waves of a three-year strategy delivering business benefit from ICT.

The technology involved will span virtualisation, cloud services, disaster recovery, wireless networking, data analytics, automation and software defined infrastructures.

To be successful you will need a wide understanding of technology, along with a deeper understanding of specific areas. Crucially you are naturally enquiring, a good listener and communicator, and will understand business requirements. Experience of leading or assisting design of medium to complex solutions within the infrastructure domain is crucial. Experience of security and information domains are also desirable.

This opportunity will allow you to influence our future and your personal growth while contributing to developing an Enterprise Architectural practice based on TOGAF ADM.

This is an 18 month fixed term contract based in York, Bradford or Manchester with the expectation of frequent attendance at the York office.
