The Events Manager Role:

We’re looking for an Events Manager to help drive our events programme and manage the various conferences, thought leadership seminars and more socially-focused events that we have planned for the coming year. 

The successful candidate will have a track record of running successful events, and have a strong understanding of the work that goes on behind the scenes in organising both smaller and larger scale events. Over time, we’d also expect this person to help drive changes and improvements to the events programme, based on prior experience. 

On a day to day basis, the Events Manager will work directly with our Marketing Manager in helping to conceptualise and theme our events, as well as then executing on the delivery of these ideas into tangible plans. 

Who We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and ambitious person looking to take the next step in their career. They’ll have strong opinions on what has worked and not worked at previous events they’ve organised and attended, as well as in regards to what it is that actually makes a successful event.

They’ll be comfortable working as part of a team, but also in terms of making their own contribution in shaping the direction of our event line-up. They will have direct experience managing budgets, working to deadlines and in managing supplier relations. 

Knowledge of the digital industry and an appreciation of where we fall within that industry is an advantage, as is an understanding of the existing digital event landscape.
